Boreomysis sibogae

Type locality and distribution Type locality by monotypy is station 185 of the Siboga Expedition, N Banda Sea, 3 ° 20 ʹ S, 127 ° 22.9 ʹ E; the types were taken with a non-closing net at depths of 1536 – 0 m (Hansen 1910). This species is panoceanic (including the Southern Ocean), mainly meso- and bathypelagic in depths of 50 – 4197 m. The ANDEEP records are within previously known distribution ranges.

Tattersall 1951), West of Cape Town, South Africa (O. S. Tattersall 1955), Mid-Atlantic near equator (O. S. Tattersall 1955), South Georgia, Atlantic Ocean (O. S. Tattersall 1955), North Pacific Ocean (Birstein & Tchindonova 1958; Petryashev 2005), Arabian Sea (W. M. Tattersall 1939), Indian Ocean (Pillai 1965), Weddell Sea, Antarctic (Lancraft et al. 1989), Kerguelen, Crozet and Bouvet (Ledoyer 1995), Australia (Daneliya 2023), Montagu Island and South Shetland Islands, Southern Ocean (Wittmann 2024).
