(Fig. 47) Described originally from Taiwan, this species is widespread across the tropics from the Pacific islands including Fiji to the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean. It is known in Australia from Darwin in the Northern Territories, from Queensland around Brisbane and Cairns, and also from Lord Howe Island and Christmas Island.
