Hippocampus denise

Distribution. Australia (northeast), Indonesia, Malaysia (Borneo), Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu. Notes. Some specimens of H. denise from West Papua are red with large white tubercles. It is unclear whether these represent a separate species as specimens have yet to be collected. Further research is needed to understand the range boundaries of this species.
