Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2. — General distribution: Indonesia east to Palau and Solomon Islands, north to Philippines, south to Queensland (Australia) and New Caledonia. Found in groups hovering over branched or tabular corals, 0 – 15 m depth. Marine.
